Okay, here is what you need to do:
1. go buy a Frequency agile RF modulator
2. go buy a 3way RF TV splitter
3. plug an antenna cable in the TV and plug the other end into one of the 3 "OUT"s on the 3way TV splitter
4. plug an antenna cable into the "IN" part of the 2way splitter and plug the other end into the "Out" TV connection on the VCR
5. plug an antenna lead into one of the other (unused) "OUT"s on the 2way TV splitter and plug the other end into the antenna point on the Frequency Agile RF modulator
6. The modulator will also have the typical yellow, red, and white plug connections on it so plug a cable of this description from the DVD player to the modulator
7. Plug your cable TV cable into the Cable box and then into the cable TV point on the wall
8. There will be a "TV out" on the cable box, plug an antenna cable from here into the 3rd "OUT" on the 3way TV splitter
9. Plug an antenna from the wall, into the TV "In" on the VCR
10. Designate a channel on the TV for the cable TV box to operate on, tune it in.
11. Designate a different channel on the TV for the VCR to go on, play a VHS tape in it and tune it in
12. Designate a different TV channel for the DVD (through the modulator) to work on, play a DVD and tune into that.
13. If your stereo has no Aux inputs to plug your DVD, VCR, and Cable TV box sound in - do the following:
14. Buy 3 radio transmitters (what you use to tune ipods into car radio stations )
15. Buy 3X [3.5mm (small headphone jack) female end --to 2 RCA cables with male ends].
16. plug each radio transmitter into the [3.5mm -- to 2 RCA] cables
17. Now connect each radio transmitter into the DVD, VCR and cable box
18. set the transmitters for different radio stations from eachother, somehow mark what station each devices sound comes through on. enjoy!
*note that the DVD will require 2X [male 1RCA--to Female 2RCA adaptor] to share the audio output between the transmitter and the modulator
*note the cable TV box may not have RCA type connections on the back of it - in this case, you can manually tune a VCR channel to receive cable TV and listen to the sound of cable TV through the radio station your VCR sound operates through. And the 3rd radio transmitter will not be needed nor the extra [3.5mm to 2RCA] cable either.
