lockout problems on Halstead Ace High Combi Boiler?Has anyone out there any solutions to continual lockout on the CH and hot water of the above combi boiler. The Corgi reg engineer has changed the PCB board, attached a big red pressure thingie under the boiler(sorry not an engineer myself) and various other components since last July and still hasn't discovered the problem. Sometimes the boiler starts after 3 goes at clearing the lockout sometimes its 30 goes. It's driving me crazy.

Had the same issue and took Dave T's advice
"Pressing the overheat button under the left hand side did work for me. Boiler appears to be working normally" Worked like a charm thank you

i have the same condition on my sons boiler no problem with the hot water but the central heating locks out after 30min can reset but cant leave running its only operating three rads wondered if the water was returning to hot too quick back to the boiler so cant heat up again which shouldnt affect the pcb board have turned down the return valves slightly and opened the thermastats too release as much heat as possible will then try changing the stat

ive had the same problem for months. had 5 different engineers, 2 new pcb boards, and still didnt solve it. just had another engineer in and it turns out the engineers who fitted the pcb boards hadnt read the instruction sheet and made the adjustments needed. its now working perfectly, but its early days, and fingers crossed.

Make sure the water pressure is on about 1.5bar on the dial on the front, press the overheat thermostat under the boiler left hand side, flick the switch on the front to reset, it will flick back on its own. Lights should now be green and all ok if not seek further advice.

We have exactly the same. Heating and hot water have just stopped and it just says LOCKOUT.
Does any one have any ideas?

i have a Halstead Finest Gold combi and am experiencing similar problems. i have just resolved a loose electrical connection to the gas valve inside the boiler which appeared to be not allowing the gas to flow through thus not igniting and so the cut out operates after several attempts. there is a wiring diagram on the inside panel and the connecting block was visibly loose so it was easy to see but i wouldnt advise you to go fiddling around inside and certainly shut off the supply if you do open the panel. in addition to this, i have recently added another radiator which seems to induce a wide range of pressure fluctuations. if the operating pressure drops too low the lockout can also kick in then.
