PLease help new to Vista. I have a Hp laptop, when moving the mouse laptop mouse or usb mouse around any page even the desktop screen open page. A (minute page scroll pops up along side the mouse indictor arrow and moves the page up and down at speed and can only be avoided by using the mouse off the page ie top or bottom and bringing the mouse arrow in from another direction. this only seems to happen when the arrow/mouse is taken to the right handside of the screen.
Hi Bobby did u see this reply to scroll problem
(The only thing I can come up with is for you to go to 'Start' then find 'Control Panel' and click on it. Click on 'Mouse'. Under Mouse Properties click on 'Wheel' then click on 'The following number of lines at a time' which will then uncheck 'One screen at a time'. Set the number of lines you want the mouse to scroll (mine's set at 3). Click 'Apply' and 'OK'). to someone else question, Its my sons laptop and I have not had a chance to try this myself.
Did you ever get an answer how to turn of the mouse scroller? It is the most frustrating, absurd, ridiculous, waste, useless, and worthless feature I have ever come across. It is reason enough to drop kick MS and go to Apple.
