Triton T80z?Can anybody help/advise?
My folks purchased a Triton T80z 2 months ago, which was fitted by a qualified plumber.
However, the shower keeps going hot and cold. Sometimes the shower is fine and then on other days it's unusable.
On complaint to the manufacturer, they say the problem is low water pressure, however, the shower before never had such problems (unfortunately, I don't have the model of the old shower).
My folks have queried this and my brother in-law (a qualified plumber) thinks low water pressure isn't the cause.
Would low pressure cause this?
Is this a common fault? Does anyone have any idea?

I have had fitted a T80z approximatly 6 months ago by a qualified plumber, but is has all of a sudden started to pump water out of the over flow pipe behind the outlet pipe. The pressure out of the shower head is still quite strong, however it comes out of the overflow pipe just as quick! The temperature of the shower is fine just leakes water, how can I remedy??

I had this exact fault with my T80z, sometimes fine then changing from hot to cold etc and over the last couple of days it has become pretty unusable. After reading the posts I decided to look at the pressure on the boiler and found it to be at 2 Bars. I bled one of the radiators and got the pressure to its normal level of just above 1 Bar and then checked the shower. It's early days but the shower appears to be working normally now so i'm hoping the problem has now been solved.

hi, check the manufacturer's instructions, it will tell you the min working pressure and then check the incoming pressure at a tap, that way if it is not, you have a case. also you know to try something else

hi mate,
I don't think the shower used to be a mixer type as the previous shower was installed when we first moved in (about 1981)
Now there is a valve on the cold water feed, but I think this just simple a shut off-mechanism, and the shower never displays the low water pressure indicator. however, it does make sense what you're saying. I'll check it out and have a look.

Just had one fitted myself. The plumber couldn't get it to work (showing low pressure warning all the time). Then I remembered I'd noticed a meter of some sort on the pipework feeding the shower, exposed when we had a new bath fitted. Said pipework now hidden by bath side. On looking at this the plumber concluded it was a flow limiter to the cold water feed to ensure cold water and hot water pressures were more or less the same, as the previous shower was a mixer type. This limiter and associated valves were reducing the flow rate and so the new shower wouldn't work. Once removed the shower works perfectly. Was your previous shower a hot/cold mixer type? Perhaps you have a hidden flow limiter somewhere? Are there loads of elbows in the pipework?
