I have downloaded a bundle of software for generating radio pin codes. Now the Ford is very easy to operate but I am having trouble using the other makes ( Blaupunkt, Chrysler, Philips etc.).
Can anybody who knows spare the time to write a walk-through so that I will be able to help others by providing their lost codes ??
Big thanks to anybody that can.
Many thanks for the heads up Reg, I just knew it wasn't going to be cheap or easy. I'll just stick to helping with Ford codes as I'm not very techy at all.
Unfortunately this bundle of software only works on Ford , a few Blaupunkts and odd models of other makes . Despite the impressive list of different makes that it claims to decode from using the Serial Number ,most of these programs calculate the code by reading the information downloaded from the EEPROM memory chip inside the radio. This usually requires electronic skills ...ie unsoldering the EEPROM and using Dump reading software such as Ponyprog to obtain this downloaded dump information for the calculator.
If you are serious about radio decoding by serial number then you are going to have to spend quite a few hundreds of ££s purchasing proper commercial software and in depth information that will decode using this method (Try Googling for CRUCC 2.2 software ). However you soon realise that not every make can be decoded using the Serial Number method...so learning to use the EEPROM Dump reading method is the best way to do it....You will also find that the decoding fraternity is very secretive and will not divulge too much information..Good Luck !
