how can i sharpen the blades on my atco royale b24?HI, I have an atco royale b24 cylinder mower, with an attatchment seat. The engine is a tecumsei 5.5 bhp single cylinder engine.
the mower is about 20 years old, and was given to me by a friend when they moved.
it used to cut the grass beautifully without missing any bits, and used to make really good stripes, now after about 2 years it flattens some of the grass, and doesnt leave very good stripes. i was told that all i need to do is sharpen the blades and it will be as right as rain, and that i will need to do this every 6 months, can anybody tell me how to do this?

My Dad used to be a saw doctor and also serviced lawn mowers in his spare time. He said that if the blades are
adjusted properly, that is the cylinder blades are just "kissing" the bottom blade over their entire length then
they will sharppen themselves and stay sharp. Should this not be the the case, then, the bottom blade is fairly easy to have it reground but the cylinder blades have to go on a special machine for sharppening and can be quite expensive. Hope this helps you ,try adjustments first.
