I am having problems with th power connection on my hi-grade laptop and decided to replace it but I am having problems getting the case full apart. I have taken all the screws out and now I just trying finish opening up the case without damaging it
Usually you r need to remove the screen by taking the cover off at the back of the keyboard, usually clips at either side at back then pull from front upwards, then unscrew the hinge for screen and screws underneath. Next you will need to remove the mainboard and get a new powerjack (ebay only few quid) and desolder old one and solder new one in, if you cant do it yourself im a laptop/pc / network specialist and can arrange to do it for you,, ask on here and i will let you know how t get in touch, all the best, joe.
