Zanussi Turbodry 1050.. why isn't it spinning?

I am trying to use a semi-old Zanussi Turbodry 1050 washer/dryer. It worked fine the first two times, but it just seemed to stop working. It makes noises as if it is working, and the water fills the washer, but it just does not spin. The dial on the washer turns to each level of cleaning (A, B, C...S), so I know it goes through each of the cycles, but without the machine spinning, it does not wash the clothes. I do not have the manual, and so I don't know what to do. Is it just on the wrong setting, or did something in the machine blow out?

Possibly the drive belt has come off. To get it back on again you'll have to turn the power off or preferably pull the plug out to give you more manoeuvrability, turn your water off and disconnect the water pipes (CHECK which pipe has hot water and which socket it goes into - mark if necessary - and don't lose the washers which may stay in the connectors or which may stay in the machine sockets), take the top off (two bolts just under the top at the back - REMEMBER WHICH BOLTS GO WHERE - THEY MAY ALL LOOK SIMILAR BUT THEY'RE NOT), then the back (remove two bolts hidden by pop-off caps near the bottom half way along each side, then a couple of bolts [which were previously hidden under the top] again half way along each side, one other bolt on the back near the top which passes through a rubber grommet/washer and two bolts on the back face near the bottom corners - I think that's all from memory), then slide the back half of the machine casing off. You should now be able to put the belt on the small drive wheel at the bottom and gently ease it over the large wheel by turning it. You may want to test the machine at this stage on a rinse/handwash cycle, but be careful as you'll have to reconnect the water pipes (CORRECTLY - HOT PIPE TO HOT SOCKET AND COLD TO COLD and remember to turn on the water again!) and plug the machine back in and run it with the back and top off - keep animals, children and your fingers well away. If everything's OK remember to make sure that your electric supply is unplugged and your water supply is off when you attempt to re-assemble and that you turn both back on again when you are finished. It's a fairly simple and logical job, apart from moving the machine around and finding an 8mm socket to remove the bolts - you need one with fairly thin socket edges to fit the hole for the bolts at the bottom side edges - but I'm a novice amateur and did this fairly easily. Good luck.
