The Great Washing Machine Door Conundrum!!!?

How can I fix my Servis Quartz Control Saphire 1300 Washer Dryer?

The other day the washer dryer stopped whilst on a spin cycle so I pressed the cancel button. Now the darn thing won't let me shut its door whilst it is on!!

Just to make it even more frustrating, the door closes when you turn the power off, but then reopens when you turn it on.

The only button that seems to do anything is the cancel button which makes the machine make a chugging noise. Weird!?!

Any clues???
