what do i need to fix to make my check engine light go off?

You will need to find what code the computer has set to repair problem ....usually will need a scanner to retrive code or codes that have been set...
thers possably over 100 codes that could have been set ...engine related ...emmissions related ...transmission related other wise your guessing ....just for the heck of it you can disconnect battery for about 30 seconds and reconnect and see if the codes reset .......
