TM RACING 125 KEEPS FLOODING - PLEASE HELP?

I have just bought a real scrapper of a T M 125, it has had a hard life and needs a lot of sorting, i have fitted a new piston and ring plus wee end bearing, it now has good compression but is very difficult to start due to constent flooding, if i leave the petrol turned on the fuel runs straight out of the overflow pipe on the carb, could the carb float be stuck ?.
Whats the best fuel mix for this bike i have been using 32/1 ?
I would be most grateful of any help or ideas.

Hi Aadam,
Thanks for the advice, i will have a go at sorting the carb this weekend and change my mix to 25/1, i have used a semi synthetic oil for the gear box, do you think this is ok or should i change to non synthetic oil.
Thanks again, Freddy

25 to 1 mix for fuel /oil and the reason its flooding will be either the float needle and or needle seat being worn and not sealing properly allowing fuel to get past it and come out of the overflow pipe,it can also be the float which has a hole in it and i will not float on the fuel and push the needle in the seat to stop the fuel flow, last option is the float not adjusted correctly this needs to be adjusted where the needle sits on the float itself the tap which is metal needs to be bent upwards slightly but there will be a correct measurement if you read the manual on the bike which is measured from the part of the carb where the gasket sits to the end of the float ok ,good luck, adam
