The hot water has stopped coming from my shower and I have no idea why (could it be an airlock and can I flush it using the trusty washing machine pipe method?).
It has cold water reaching it fine and hot water is being delivered to all other outlets; the heating is fine and I can find no mechanical failure of the shower unit.
Can anybody advise please?
If its just a manual mixer shower the way to get rid of air is to disconnect the showerhead, put your finger over the hose outlet and switch on both taps. That will force cold water back along the hot pipe and clear any blockages. Other reasons could be inline valve turned off or filters blocked.
