Sudden oven shut off?

When operating the oven at 250C for more than 1 hour
it will shut off. It can only be re-started again by switching the mains off and on again and then re-setting the timer.

usually due to a faulty cooling fan but you didn't give any model info.cooling fan should come on to stop overheating/cutting out
