clio2001 mk2 phase 2 orange engine lights :(?

I was told by a main Renault dealer that this was because the fuel injection system needed replacing and that this would cost me over £1,000.00 !

hi,
the light which looks like a square box with a squigely line through it is atualy the engine mangement warning light. It is normal for it to come on when you switch on the ignition, but should go out after a few seconds. If it stays on all the time, then there is an engine fault. take the car to the nearest garge as soon as possible other wise you may risk damaging the engine.
