The cold water tap in my bathroom will not move at all. We have used descaler on it which removed only a small amount. This does allow the tap to be turned on a little bit (which required quite a bit of force) but now we can not turn it on at all. Any ideas?
snag is I bet you can't remove the body -- suggest you
call plumber if you are unable to remove the tap body - they can be difficult to remove sometimes

isolate the cold feed remove the insert clean and use silicone grease and replace.
