What does E70 on my new Kenmore electric washer mean? Model # 44082?

It means you aren't getting cold water into your washer.

I got this error on my Fridgedaire washer which is supposed to be the same unit as the Kenmore and found out that the installers from Lowes swapped the hot and cold hoses on the washer when they installed it. I've swapped them back and am hoping this will fix the problem. It made sense because we were getting wrinkled clothes and other odd performance the past week.
