How can I fix my Creda T622CW tumble dryer?

I had same problem with no heat. I got a new thermostat and fitted it. I first tried it without re-attaching it to the machine and I got the dryer producing heat, which indicates that this was the problem, but when I attach the new thermostat to the machine it trips my trip-switch. The new thermostat is not the same as the original one, but the guy in the electrical wholesalers said that it should be ok. Any ideas?

I had the same problem recently, and if you pull it out, on the back there is a round cover that you can unscrew and underneath are the thermostats, they look like oversized watch batteries, if you take them to an electrical shop they can test them for you and see if they need replacing. If they do, they are only £12 to replace. If its not the thermostat then it may be another problem. But it worked for us, and now it works like new.

turn on your multimeter to 'test' and put one end either side of your thermostat. On my machine one thermo gave a reading the other did not. I replaced both on advice for the Spares Shop salesman and as recommended by the maker of the thermostats.

I have exactly the same problem with my T622CW dryer. I'll whip the thermostats out first before I replace the heater. How did you test them with the multimeter?

I had the same problem with my dryer and having changed the heater element, discovered it was not the problem.
It has turned out to be one of the two small thermostats sitting directly above the heating element at the back of the machine. Replacing them instantly fixed the problem. Incidentally I identified this problem using a circuit tester which I shold have done before purchasing the new heating element - Let me know if you need one! You can usually purchase the thermostats at a good spares place.
