Why does my TCS3 think the watertank is full and keep switching off?
My dryer, creda TCS3 excel thinks the watertank is full so it kept switching off, to temporarily solve this I bypassed the switch that is activated by the float device(the switch is a yellow and green one) now it works, but i dont know what is wrong with it and i would like to repair it properly as im worried my bodge job may cause further problems, is it the switch that needs replacing or by bypassing the switch have i just gone around another problem, maybe with the pump or float device?

It is unlikely to be the pump itself more likely that the float device is sticking in the position it would normally be in when the tank is full. If it is easily repaired by removing it and cleaning anything that is causing it to stick off then it may be worth a try. Otherwise search for a replacement on a parts website and if not too expensive replace the whole unit, as it may stick again quite soon if repaired.
