while my creda t632cw dryer was in use there was a sudden power shortage. The dryer stopped and so i restarted. The dryer works but the heating element failed. What could have gone wrong? What parts do i have to replace to get the heating element to work again? How do i find which part needs replacement?
Sometimes, you don't need to pay a new thermostat kit. Remove the panel at the back and you'll see 2 small white discs with cables coming out of each side. Slide the cable connectors off, unscrew the small screw holding them in, remembering which one had the painted spot on it.
Once removed these should make a rattling noise when shaken, one probably won't. There will be a small indent from the moulding process, pierce the plastic and push a something small and pointed through the hole, I use a nail. It'll make a pop noise and it'll then make the rattling noise when shaken. Put them back in place and hey presto !!
