Ran out of oil, started to bleed system and now the burner trips out?
Hello all, Ran out of Oil.. as you do. So we got some in and I started to bleed it, when I turned on the heating, it tried to light for a few seconds and then tripped a trip switch(about 10sec). Now it does it right away before you can even get out to the burner to press the reset button. Happens the moment the heating is turned on. Any guesses?
Ok so, I narrowed it down to the pump for the rads in the burner housing that is causing the trip. I started to bleed the water system and there seemed to be a lot of air (never stopped) So I was wondering if an air lock in the pump can cause it to short? As in a safety precaution so you dont damage the pump? If it is, I will bleed it more till I get water coming out the bleed nipple. Just want to make sure I am not recking it lol
