My Dimplex OFC2000 heater has stopped working after apparently overheating?I have a Dimplex OFC2000 oil filled radiator and I left it on during the night on full power. When I woke up this morning it wasn't working. The little standby light was on but there's no heat coming from it. It must have completely cut out during the night atfer overheating. Is there anything I can do myself before going to the hassle of taking it to be replaced/repaired?

Boerenkool's answer worked for me: remove the cover and press the button on the black cylindrical thing at the bottom. Sorted in 30 secs

Wow can't believe it has worked. Got 2 of these in a holiday cottage. Both had stopped working. Was going to buy new ones but opened the bottom and clicked the wires as boerenkool had said and they both work.

I had the same, I think it's the auto cut-off.
Try this:
Cut the power first!
Then you can open the control-panel from the botton with 2 screws (while facing the control-panel, look as low as possible near the floor and you'll see those 2 screws facing you)
Then you can flip the control-panel open a little bit from the lower side. It's still connected with another screw somewehere at the upper side, but no need to open that one as well.
While opening this panel a bit, you'll see some 'thing' hanging inside, that 'tells' the heater if it's placed correctly or not (it prevents the heater from working when you hold the heater, for example, upside down, I don't know the correct word in English, sorry)
You can press this 'thing' in the upside direction and you'll here a click. That's it, maybe...this worked for me, so give it a try!
