ihave one radiator in the house that is colld how do i fix it?
I have a house that all the radiators are warm apart from one in a upstairs extension ,i have tried bleading it .the radiator has a thermostate knob on the bottom left hand side but when i turn this up you can not hear the water going through like the rest of the radiators also the pipe leading to this is cold.the pipe that leads into the bottom right hand side is warm should this be turned open to let water into the radiator or should it be turned off.p.s when i have bleed the radiator the water comes out hot and cold but does not warm up the actual radiator
Hey I found this site searching for an answer to the exact same question yesterday, don't know if you fixed yours or if anyone else is looking but I managed to fix mine by taking of the thermostate and wriggling the pin in the rad loose using a pair of mole grips :o)
Hope this helps
i had similar problem, had bled it and still didnt warm up. a plumber came round and un did the conrol knob to manually loosen the valve inside which had simply got stuck. took 10 mins and room and radiator r both now toastie.same as other answer really.
try tapping the radiator gently with a small hammer or a spanner, on the inlet valve and at various places on the radiator, then bleed it again and repeat until it starts warming. We found this successful with a small bathroom radiator without a thermostat, but we got the idea from our plumber who did the same to a large dining-room radiator with a thermostat.
