Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine GW708U - water fill overflows?
When the washing machine fills with water, it wont cut off. It appears that the water level sensor is not working.
In a rinse cycle, the water cuts off. Its just when the machine has to fill to a certain level - high or medium or low (even auto) it will overflow.
I've also noticed some leaking that seems to be coming from the same place. The white "tube" fixed to the bowl.
How can I remove the bowl to get a closer look?
Is this a common problem?
Is it expensive to repair?
This is fantastic and really prompt advice... thank you Lincoln!
This the first time I have used this service and I am completely sold if you are representative of its quality and urgency.
Thanks again, I really appreciate the community spirit!
When the bowl fills with water it pushes air up that tube. The increase in air pressure is what activates the pressure sensor for the correct level. Any leaks in the tube will allow air to escape. L ay the machine down on the front panel, you can then reach in to the air tube. Pull it off the tub. Cut a short piece off the end so it will be a tight push fit when you put it back on. Make sure it also has the small clamp on it as well.
