Where can I purchase Villeroy Boch Dual Flush mechanism?
I have 2 Villeroy Boch toilets which have broken dual flush mechanisms.
I cannot seem to find a replacement of the same type. They have the 2 half moon buttons, silver in colour.
The problem with the meachanism is that the round plastic part which holds the buttons has snapped.
Can anybody point me in the right direction as to where I might be able to purchase these from?
Also, can anybody tell me how to fit them as the current ones do have a screw thread on them but I cannot see anything that screws onto the thread to secure the unit.
Villeroy & Boch replaced this design of flush mechanism approx 3 years ago. The two crescent moon button design has been replaced with a completely redesigned centre column and new buttons. The good news is that the new column can be fitted in minutes to all existing toilets that used the white/green columns with crescent button design.
You can purchase all Villeroy & Boch spare parts here: www.bathroomstudio.co.uk
It shows you instructions to remove the old column here:
Usual problem with plastics. Assume u tried contacting V. B. direct? Replace entire flush valves with new - £30 or so each B&Q etc (ok if compatible size fittings) You might have to disable 1 w/c & extract valve to measure outlet etc. Failing that, if you have the bits (glue together carefully?) a good local engineer might be able to replicate the threaded bit in brass, ally or stainless steel or even hi grade nylon. Might need rest of push mechanism to do test fitting. May not be cheap but a darn sight cheaper than 2 new w/cs.
