Indesit Di620 Light 1 Flashing?

The answers before this post are correct.

POWER OFF before you start.

At the bottom of the dishwasher at the front there are two rectangular plastic covers. They will pop off with a screwdriver and you can then get access to the base of the machine. I also found a few millimetres of water (hard to see unless you use a torch) and when this was sponged out the machine worked fine. Remember to switch off power to the machine before you poke your hands inside the base.

Yep, mopping the water works, machine started but noticed after two hours it hadn't finished, check sump area, more water, checked pipes seemed clear so I either have a major leak or something else but as this is built in its a ball ache to get too. Any ideas welcome

Three days ago we had exactly the same problem with our Indesit DI 620. The machine started - in our case on program 4 - and, after about 5-10 seconds, gave off a beep and stopped. Light 1 was always flashing. It turned out to be a rosemary leaf that was trapped below the bottom of the filter area. We had already cleaned the filter but hadn't checked the residual water underneath it. I don't know if the leaf was blocking the drain and was picked up by a sensor at the start of the wash but I would recommend putting your fingers into the drainage area at the bottom of the dishwasher and fishing around for any bits of food that may be there. Our dishwasher is now working perfectly again.
