Ever since I had my walls insulated, I seem to have black wet patches in the top corners of the bedrooms. The vents wre blocked off before I noved into the house (15years ago), but the problem only seems to have occured since walls insulated. If I drill some holes in the bedroom walls would this help, as the dampness seems to be above where the wall ends and the roof starts. Any ideas please how to solve this problem. thanks
Your dampness is probably caused by condensation from you breathing, stop breathing,or insulate your loft space, warm air condenses on cold surfaces the problem will just keep moving around, when you insulate one part somewhere else will attract the moisture.OPEN YOUR WINDOWS a little when you are not in during the day and let the steam out! VENTILATION or rather lack of it seems to be your problem.
