why does my ms170 act like it is starving?I have an ms170, about 2 1/2 years old that until one day last week, seemed to run fine in the morning, but as the day wore on, I noticed I had to keep blipping the throttle to keep it running, then after shutting off and setting it down one time, would not restart.
I returned home, and replaced the fuel filter, even tried different fuel, checked the plug (looked like running rich) replaced plug and air filter, have decent compression, good spark, and if I give it full choke, can occasionally get it to fire, but have to leave it full choked so it will barely idle on it's own. If I move it to half choke, it will die. any thought would be appreciated !

Its running lean, check for cracked/ split fuel hose, dirt in the carb screen ( this will be a carb service) other possibilitys are an air leak ( leaking gasket or crank seal )
