the flash drive 8gb Lexar has been wet completely, and when I insert it in a usb port and use explorer to open it, the message "there is no disk in drive..... please insert disk". is it repairable?
If you had inserted it in the USB port while it was wet, chances are that it may not work. however, if you didn't insert it into the USB port after wetting it, please do as follows:
Open up whatever is easy if possible, then use a blow dryer on warm (not hot) aimed directly at it. Leave it on while you do your other things for maybe 1/2 day.
The object is to dry everything inside so there is no moisture on the little printed circuit board. If you spilled coffee or some drink on it, make sure the usb connector contacts are not coated. Then you can try it again.
