Does Kingfisher CF50 boiler have a Overheat Thermostat?
My Potterton Kingfisher CF50 Boiler appears to be overheating, I have changed the boiler thermostat but suspect a faulty microswitch that operates gas valve how can i check this or does this boiler have an overheat Thermostat.
hi the boiler has a lockout indicator on it to show that it has locked out ie overheated ,it will then restart when it has cooled down . the "micro switch" that controls the gas valve is on the pcb or printed circuit board
Thanks Tim, The boiler thermostat is set low on 2 yet the rads get very hot until room stat is satisfied ..I can control the boiler with the room stat but not with the boiler stat..my thoughts are that the boiler is cooking regardless of the boiler stat setting, having replaced the boiler stat i am thinking that the micro switch that the stat operates to close the gas valve has ceased to operate and would like to change it, i don't know what this micro switch is or if this can be purchased on its own. I am also not sure what you mean by locking out or pcb can you please explain in basics . Regards
