i bought one of these 4 days ago from Aldi, its well made but it keeps going to the 'low battery setting ' within a few minutes of putting batteries in the unit.
I,ve tried 3 sets of quality batteries but the best i got was that the clock ran for 3 hours, it opened one hose but it closed down within a few minutes and showed the 'low battery' sign.
Aldi exchanged this for another one but it did exactly the same.
The item is well made but it just does,nt run on the 4 AA batteries for any meaningful time.
Has anyone experienced this and found an answer to the problem
Have had 2 replacements sent to me from Germany. The 1st had the same fault. They advised that they had a faulty batch and would send me 1 from the new batch as soon as. This took about 3 months.
I've not tried the latest one as I bought a Hozelock product to cover while we went on summer holiday. Hopefully it works as I intend to give to someone as a present!
NB they will send you a German model with no English instructions.
I had the same problem, rang the number on the warrantey card and they say it is a fault with the unit. They have fixed the problem and are sending a replacement.
Their number is 00800 34996753, they need the poroduct number off the warranty card
i had the same problem took first one back second one failed phoned number on warrenty card free number they apoligised it is fault with the series and have made new one gave me a ref number ask me to send email with scanned warrenty card and details and will take 2-3 weeks hope this helps
Me too. I used the unit for 2 days and it is giving a low battery signal and stopped working. This was on the batteries included in the pack. I changed them for charged (I thought) rechargeable batteries but it went to low battery immediately. Now I am recharging the batteries to make absolutely sure and will try again. Maybe it is a fault in the model. If it doesn't work with freshly charged batteries I am going to claim a refund on the warrenty.
