Old Creda Carefree cooker how to set timer to stay on Manual?I have no instruction manual now. There are 3 dials, Push for Manual
Push to Set
Clock
I want cooker to stay on Manual always but dont know how to deactivate the Push to Set and clock. Therefore the cooker keeps switching off. I'm sure there is a simple solution. Thanks for any help.

In the instruction booklet it just says that there is a pilot light below the stop dial, and that at the end of the timed cooking operation the light will come on. To return the coooker to manual operation, press the Stop knob and the light will go out. Under 'To Cancel the timer' it says: turn the start knob and stop knob to the time of day ie to read the same time as the clock, when the pilot light below the stop dial will come on. Return the cooker to manual operation bty pressing the stop knob when the pilot light will go out. Good luck! Got to admit I haven't tried the timer yet but I love the old cooker. It was in the house I've just moved to, plus instruction booklet. I had to leave a fitted hob and double oven behind, all singing, all dancing, but this is really very good, and was clearly well made at the time (1979?) I may now have a go and use the timer, just to see.
