Turbo warning light, toyota, estima, ) what do the lights mean.?
On the rev counter there is a green light which is ok. But the amber light stays on if i load the engine. The light stays on until i switch off the engine. If anybody knows whats wrong your help would be great thanks.
green light means turbo is under boost (going up hills, over taking etc) amber/orange light means turbo is over boosting this is usually caused by a faulty actuator not opening the waste-gate.visit www.turbodoc.co.nz for new actuators or rebuilt turbos
This lamp is an engine warning signal triggered by a fault detected in the exhaust emissions. The device that detects this is an oxygen sensor and this controls the mixture and emissions of the vehicle. When you hit the power the mixture is going rich and being detected as too high in Co and illuminating the orange lamp. It could be a genuine fault with the fuel injection or the oxygen sensor itself is faulty.
