For a charger to the lumicron lcd-825z3, spend £7 in tesco extra for a blutooth headset [model BT4517]. The charger for this works in this camera. it is ciggarette lighter type, but I have just soldered an old 13.8 v dc adaptor i had for some music keyboard. Works well. :)
My screen dead on it, but if i need to, i bring the tv/av lead and a handheld tv to use as a viewfinder and to do settings. Work absolutely well. :)

I had exactly the same problem, screen failed completely after 6 months.
I saw advertised on ebay 'camera only (screen Ok but no charger or attachments)' and managed to acquire it for £12, (worth that just for spare battery and SD card). I took both cameras to pieces and swapped the screens over, (lucky I spent a lifetime working on micro electronics and have the required miniature star-point screwdrivers).
My LDC825z3 has now been working OK for 2 years, only trouble is I now have a computer hard disc nearly full of many 1000's of images.

I bought a LDC-825Z3 from Tesco some 18 months ago. The camera failed to work just before Xmas 2007. I too rang the help line x5 also tried the email address. The answer machine stated an engineer would call back, not done so. The E/mail does not exist it would appear the 2 year gaurantee is a complete fake. I am suprised an organisation as large as Tesco would be associated with such fraudulent criminality. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!

I've the same (now year-old) camera, and it's great. I called the Lumicron helpline around 10 months ago, and they were very helpful - having sold a lot through Tesco. I got a technical callback within 30 minutes to a non-trivial question.
"Lumicron" isn't "Lumicron Digital" (who made the camera) in the same way "Easy.Net" isn't the same company as "Easy Jet". If you have a problem, bring it back to Tesco with your receipt, as per there trading Ts&Cs and (from experience) you may just get your money back.
First port of call with all faulty goods should be the reseller, or if it's its an "unreasonable" time after purchase, the manufacturer.

Yes but with all purchases you should retain your reciept from the retailer and should you have difficulty obtaining service within the warranty period then you should return it to the retailer and it becomes their problem.

For any one that is thinking of buying a Lumicron Digital Camera, watch out.
Lumicron warraty doesn't exist as is a fake warranty supplied by manufacter.
The warranty card supply in the camera packet tell you to call a UK phone number that doesn't exist anymore and the email doesn't exist either.
if you try www.lumicron.com or www.lumicron.de or www.lumicron.net as mention in the camera packet it doesn't have nothing relating to digital Cameras, They are diferent Companies.
So conclusion if you buy a LUMICRON DIGI CAMERA is not a Warranty at all.
