I was watching a online site and like many times before I lost my wireless connection. When I bought it in 2003 it came with an Ethernet connection which always worked well. Two years ago i installed a belkin wireless g desktop network card. It took a long time to get it to work because I believe the instructions in their manual were poor. I got it to work by luck by trying all kinds of things. Even with no more updates from microsoft, it still worked. Maybe not as fast as before with the Ethernet or updates, but it still worked well. Sometimes with the belkin wireless card if i would start to lose the connection i would have to right click it to repair the connection. If I did not do this soon enough i would lose the connection and it would freeze up and I would manually have to turn it off with the start button and restart. I know that you are not supposed to turn off the computer that way but I had no other choice. When I tried starting up again the compact logo came on but did not boot up to windows. I watched a online site with my kindle fire hd 8 from a site from hp that makes compact and I did what they advised to do. I cleaned the inside with a dust cleaner which I have had to do twice before because of dust. I also disconnected and connected the memory card as advised. I did the same with the belkin wireless card. It still did the same thing. Compact turns on but does not boot up windows. The f1, f8, and f10 keys work on the keyboard. I went to f10 to try a system recovery with the first of 4 cds that came with the computer. I did a system recovery before and lost everything. I used my sister's laptop and we downloaded sp2 on a flash drive and got it going again and then I had to figure how to get the belkin wireless card going again and did by luck. I did not want to try a full system recovery but a partial recovery to see if the first CD would boot up windows. I put the CD in and started the recovery using f10. It started doing the recovery and then the compact logo went on then it went to a blue screen which said this. Stop: c0000135 { unable to locate component} This application has failed to start because kernel32.d11 was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Which application are they referring to? How do you re-install the application they are referring to? Remember windows does not boot up!
