How do I reassemble my Bissell Proheat Cleaner (Model 1699).?
My Bissell carpet cleaner model 1699 stopped spraying water. I disassembled the machine and cleaned out all the tubes and nozzles. Now as I try to reassemble it, I can not get the switch mechanism that meters the soap to go back together correctly. The lever mechanism rotates from "no" soap, to a "medium" soap mixture for normal use, to "high" soap mixture for heavy stains. This lever's rotating, screw action mechanism appears to mate with a cylindrical part that rotates and moves in and out to meter the soap. Any suggestions on how to reassemble this switching mechanism?
I was able to successfully reassemble my Bissell Proheat Cleaner after having the same problem you had. I was able to figure out the the soap regulator assembly, so it you still need help, let me know.
