I've got the same error but none of these tips have fixed it. I've taken the PCB out and tested the reed switch, and checked continuity to the plug at the control unit end, all fine. I've taken the tank off and checked that the wheel turns and operates the reed, and there's no problem with the water supply. Water does flow in to the machine for 10-15 seconds before the beeping and flashing starts.
The only think I can think of is that I filled the salt up a few days ago, but didn't run a cycle straight away, which apparently you are supposed to. Could that have caused some kind of damage or blockage which prevents the incoming water flowing properly?

A possible reason for the dishwasher not filling with water is that a wire from the control panel to the inlet valve has broken where it passes from the door panel into the base of the machine. The wires at the bottom of the door are subjected to regular bending and straightening every time the door opens and shuts. Over time the wires will break.
To fix it you need to...
1. Remove the door panel by removing the screws at either side of the inside of the door and lifting it off. Get someone to help support the door panel while you do this.
2. Pull out the wire ends from where they bend and break.
3. Use a crimp wire connector to connect a new wire to one end of the existing wire. You will need to cut off excess from the existing wire.
4. Thread the new wire through the access hole from the door to the base of the machine.
5. Use another crimp to connect the new wire end to the other end of the broken wire.
6. Ensure that the connectors are tight and there are no bare bits of wire sticking out from the crimp connectors.
7. Replace the door panel.
IMPORTANT! Make sure that you use the correct size replacement wire and the right crimps for the wire.
The crimps will cost up to 10p each and the crimping tool from £7 to £15 depending on the model.

Another thank you to "Choochy" for a great answer. Removing and replacing the blue plug on the small PCB worked like a charm. For anyone else trying this you may find it easier to remove the PCB (still attached to the blue plug) from its slot (it is just held by friction) before removing the plug. And to remove the plug you need to press down on the two small white prongs that stick up.

Just to say thanks for posting this advice - I had the same F7 fault. Today I had a plumber round who said it was my PCB board and that to replace would be £170 + labour... I took your advice above, took off the left hand panel, fiddled with the blue connector and hey presto - it now works! Thank you for posting this advice - it works!

I paid an online expert to diagnose the F7 issue and apparently it is a water flow problem.
I have pasted his reply below:-
"Unplug the appliance first.
You'll need to take the appliance out from it's integrated position.
Take the left side panel off.
At the bottom of the plastic tank you'll see a small circuit board and a 2 wire plug on it.
Pull the plug off and tighten the connection a little.
Plug it back on again, do this a couple of time to clean up the connection."
Personally havn't tried it...bit too much of a DIY job for me and its covered by the house insurance anyway but hope this helps.

Further to the previous answer, may be the flow meter on the water jacket, or the pressure switch!
