Vokera Linear 24 high ppressure and leaking water?
I have a Vokera Linear 24 combi boiler. Over the past day or two the pressure (usually around 1.5 bar) has increased to around 3 bar and water is now leaking from one of the pipes underneath.
I've turned off the stop cock on the boiler and switched the electricity to the boiler off. It's still leaking and the pressure doesn't seem to be dropping.
You need to drain some water out of the appliance...
To do this, connect a hose to the drain-cock on the c/heating and open it up... Alternatively; if you cannot find a drain cock; ensure the juice is turned off, reach up into the bottom of the appliance and you'll find a red knurled plastic knob, gently turn it and you'll feel it move outwards, you'll then hear some rushing water noises and the appliance will drain very quickly (Be warned, this is the emergency drain for the boiler and 3 in 10 will need to be replaced once touched!).
You then need to find the source of the problem, ensure that the filling loop has been disconnected and that both of the valves are closed.
If the boiler's pressure is still raising with no use or no reason; then you likely have a pinhole in your heat-exchanger allowing the mains to fill up the c/heating side and overpressurize....
Temp repair until the new year will be turn the c/mains off to the boiler and use it for c/heating only.
