Can anyone recommend a reliable , preferably not too expensive , bog-standard 8.5kW mains fed electric shower.(preferably with a water inlet fed from above)
Please quote he make + model
As seen from a previous post , I fitted a Gainsborough 8.5SCL but it was either faulty or just plain cr*p as it did not control the water temperature accurately enough . ( I uninstalled it + returned it as faulty )
there is so many to choose from we will be here all day. 99% of showers you can have the feed come in from top, back, or bottom. price wise with an electric shower under £100 are most times crap. you can have a good look through there web sites. miras, triton, etc. if you were looking face on tritons water pipe will come in from the right , mires come in from left it can be a problem if your pipe is concealed in the wall and you have a glass shower door it can end up to far over, so take some measurements of your space look on there web sites they have all the dimentions for you. £150 is about average. try to stick to 8.5kw or you cable will need upgrading if you have 10mm cable thats fine for higher watt showers.
