My older saw manuals recommend 40 to 1 ratio. You could use 30:1, but would smoke more. I'd think 50:1 ratio would be too lean and may cause engine to burn up. I've had several mini-macs over the years and I found the best mix is the 40:1 using just about any two cycle mixing oil. 50:1 will give you more power, but engine will get hot in larger wood. I've also used 30:1, but it will smoke and may cut power output., but sure won't burn up engine.
I stand corrected if someone has better information.

I have had these small Macs since the 70's and back then it said 20:1 but I believe that was useing regular oil, todays 2 cycle oils are much better and have special additives to increase lubrication.
I have been useing 40:1, for 20 years with my current Mac 130, anything richer (with more oil) causes excessive smoke
lower running speeds/less power and shorter plug life.
DO NOT USE GASAHOL, also carry a small brush and clean up around the gas cap before fueling, I filter my fuel before mixing...
junk in the tank kills more of these great little saws than anything else,
Also remember to put a fresh tank of fuel in it with stabilizer fuel additive before storing for long preiods.
or drain the tank and run full throttle untill it dies.

40:1 = 3.2 ounces of 2cycle oil to a gallon of regular unleaded gas.
