I was watching the TV and it just shut its self off, and now it just won't turn back on. Nothing happened to the TV such as liquid or being dropped. It simply just turned off. I don't know how all the insides of the TV work, and I don't know if I nessisaly want to open it up because I don't know what I would be looking for. Also how much would it range in price to take it to a shop if there isn't a simple solution? Is there a reset button? Some Voodoo dance to be preformed? The TV was givin to us for Xmas almost two years ago, so it's not covered under the warrenty any more.
Input it much appericated,
Jenn

No such thing as a reset button - sorry!
you might want to check the internal fuse: if it is just open, not charred, replace with the EXACT value and try the set you may be lucky,. However , if its black, the power supply switchmode transistor or rectifier is belly up. Technician time. It is impossible to diagnose over the internet . Measurements need to be taken and parts checked to diagnose the exact fault and cost of repair.
