I have lived in my house for about a year and at first the hot water flow was fine............but slowly it got less and less powerful. Now it runs at a trickle (about a cupfull in a minute)
The cold water is fine and powerful. I have a vokera combi boiler that is only a year and a half old and the central heating works fine............any tips on how to increase the hot water flow???
hi spec plumbing,as crazy as it sounds thats what we had to do to repair the mother inlaws.the system was kept with a tank when the combi was installed many years ago
roy. what are you going on about. he has a combi boiler.combis don't work like a conventional system. hot water flow problems are common when your heat exchanger is blocking up with limescale.
check your hot water pump ,if this is hot but the pipes are cold either side its shagged.you will need to replace this.if you live in a two storey house get a 3meter head pump,to install close the two valves either side.remove old and insert new, when you install the new one do not over tighten the nuts.follow your wiring diagram its only 3 wires.then reopen the valves .but i recommend you employ a competent person
