I recently replaced one of my PIR's by switching off at mains, but forgetting about the battery back up in the loft.
I recieved the code t2 on control panel which indicates a tamper. I then went into the loft to see if there was some kind of reset to find that the panel in the loft also has a tamper! How can I reset the tampers?
Can anybody help me?
I was moving some stuff about and i have knocked one of my pir sensors setting my alarm off even thou it wasnt armed i turned off the siren off with my code then it was displaying a fault code t7 which i now is the sensor i hit so i have tried clearing it but it wont let me now its saying "rt" and the service light has come on does anybody know how i reset it??
i have a scantronic 9827 key pad, with no power, no power on senors the internal siren is going off, have checked the fuse ok,
what do i do?
will a replacement key pad do the jod or best to fit new alarm system.
My Scantronic 9800 alarm went off when i was at work last week and i just entered the code on entering the house.Today the alarm triggered twice whilst off and bf appeared on the panel. As the alarm was already installed in the house when we bought it a number of years ago i assumed that the battery needed replacing.I switched off the power and removed the battery from the box in order to replace it tomorrow.I assumed that I could restore the power and the alarm would operate as normal but without the battery to back it up in the event of a power failure. When i went to the control panel to clear it and reset the alarm i now have Sr on the panel and will not let me enter my normal code. Can anyone please help me resolve this issue.I should also add that i don't have an engineers code.
The fault you refer t2 is the a tamper on zone 2 when you open the lid of the pir a spring is released and activates a tamper at the panel. To reset this the first thing to try is ensure the lid of the new pir is correctly replaced and the two wires at the tamper terminals of the pir are wired correctly. Once you are sure this is ok enter your user code twice the fault should clear.
