It can't be computer related if so many people are getting the same message. It's an AOL problem, and of course there's no wayt o reach them.

The problem seems to be COMPUTER specific. I just purchased a new computer and that error message keeps appearing. It does not appear on any of my other computers when accessing the same areas on AOL.

It is a problem with the computer; not the website. The solution is to not use AOL.

It's not your fault, it's the wonderful new service provided by AOL since they switched to offering accounts free to high speed users. If you notice, you probably have one of many hundreds of new pop-up ads loading when you get this message. Once the advertisement is loaded, try the same site again. Viola! It loads. AOL execs laugh about how it now stands for Advertisements OnLine. You've probably also noticed a slowness when opening your AOL mailbox. It's because of guess what...ANOTHER AD. Yes, they've cleverly put a new tab in your mailbox when you open it, and until the graphics and text for it load, you can click you mouse to death trying to open an e-mail. AOL....now its FREE!! And worth every penny.

What operating system are you using? Were any codes preceding the error message? Sometimes it could just be an internal server error on that's not your (computer's) fault. I've found Apache to be a frequent culprit.

Sorry but if you are using IE you ARE trying to read a web page. IE is a Web Browser. Even if working off line it is still a Web Browser.

This is nothing to do with your computer. It is the Web Site that you are visiting with Internet Explorer and means exactly what it says. The thing that you are retrying to view is not there. There is nothing that you can do about it - except maybe complain to the web site owner.
