Dishwasher (Simpson 960 Energy Saver) stops mid-cycle after approx 20mins.
After stopping the "Heavy Wash" light flashes repeatedly.
There appear to be no blockages since water can freely enter and exit the machine. If I restart the machine, a significant amount of water is pumped back out and down the drain. Soap is dispensed but the washer does not get to the heating stage.
Occasionally (once every 5 attempts), the machine will operate normally and make it through the entire desired cycle.
Removed and inspected filters, inspected pump blades and all clean. Machine does make buzzing sound (~50Hz) at various stages of cycle.
"Also Flashing "Normal Wash" signals that there is a restriction in your water input, check for calcification or blockages in the filters in your in pipes"
Old post I know, but for anyone else,
flashing "Heavy Wash" signals low water level after initial fill.
check that your drain pipe is elevated higher than half way up the back of the machine, so as that the water can not syphon out.
