Hi Kristine
Just so happens I have the same problem but was not sure if it was heat or wind setting it off. Today, we think we've found the problem. On the right hand side of the front, under the bonnet, there's a little rubber switch. Apparently when the bonnet is closed, it connects the switch, but if you "wobble" the bonnet and thus seperate the connection slightly, the alarm goes off. We only tapped the bonnet in the middle and it went off - very sensitive. We ended up putting a little pad on the opposing side (under bonnet lid) in the hope it will hold the switch in place with a little more pressure. Not sure if it works, but we couldn't get the alarm to go off again with the gentle tapping, so fingers crossed.
Incidently, have you had any trouble with the clock dislplay - mine has started coming in and out (doesn't loose time though)... a new one could cost $150 plus fitting. Just interested. Great car, but I wish it had rear wipers.
Hope this helps - maybe a bit late.
Regards
Elaine
