Are you referring to the number of times you have to push the primer bulb, or the number of prime-start-stall out-prime cycles you are going through? Either way, most B&S engines take at LEAST 5 priming strokes to start and continue running. I know it says prime 3 tmes on the engine, but that only applies when brand new. All my equipment (7 engnes n total) take at least 5 and sometmes up to 8 stokes (particularly in cold weather).
